Solitaire Lodge COVID-19 Safety Policy - Solitaire Lodge

Solitaire Lodge Covid 19 Policy

Updated December 2021

The health and safety of our guests and employees, has always been and will continue to remain our top priority.

At the very beginning of the New Zealand outbreak we quickly implemented a COVID Health and Safety Plan, which we continue to monitor to ensure it meets the current NZ Government guidelines as we move forward with our global fight against the spread of coronavirus.

As we live through constant changes, we wanted to provide you with some information on the measures we have put in place.

STANDARD PRACTISE AT ALL TIMES:

  • New operating procedures & policies have been put in place in consideration for health & safety, cleaning, social distancing and contact tracing requirements.
  • Our Solitaire Lodge team is committed to following the recommended cleaning and hygiene standards for all departments.
  • Our dedicated team are aware and fully supportive of the need to take extra precautions while interacting with guests and handling guests items.
  • Additional cleaning and sanitizing procedures have been adopted throughout the Lodge including guest rooms, restaurant, bar / lounge and all public areas. Our housekeeping team use industrial disinfectant sprays, sanitizers and steam treatment.
  • Hand sanitizers are provided at the Lodge reception and in our restaurant and bar for guest use.
  • The Solitaire Lodge QR code is displayed at the Lodge reception for guests using the NZCOVID Tracer app.

All employees and guests are advised to follow the recommendations of the Ministry of Health in relation to COVID-19, which is to stay at home if they are feeling unwell or displaying any symptoms of the virus. The required health card from the Ministry of Health, in relation to COVID-19, is in all guest rooms detailing what guests should do if they do feel unwell or display any symptoms of the virus during their stay, which includes automatic self-isolation in their guest room.

COVID-19 PROTECTION FRAMEWORK:

The New Zealand government requires that from the 3rd December 2021, anyone aged 12 or over must be fully vaccinated (or have an exemption) to enter hospitality venues where food & beverages are served. Therefore, as Solitaire Lodge is Full Board and including all meals we will be required to sight proof of your COVID-19 vaccination status upon arrival at Solitaire Lodge.

Your digital or printed COVID-19 My Vaccine Pass can be requested through at mycovidrecord.health.nz. Find out more at covid19.govt.nz.

Under the current Government requirements, guests without a valid digital or printed My Vaccine Pass will not be able to use the Main Lodge, Restaurant or Bar. However, we will serve guests all dining and beverages in the comfort of their Suite.

THE TRAFFIC LIGHT SYSTEM:

At Red, action will need to be taken to protect both at-risk people and protect our health system from an unsustainable number of hospitalisations.

  • Record keeping and scanning will be required.
  • Face coverings are mandatory in public spaces.

At Red, Solitaire Lodge is able to operate with restrictions, and we continue to maintain enhanced hygiene practices. If Lodge staff are sick or have symptoms of COVID, they are advised to stay home.

Limits to service during this time may include the need for guests to handle their own luggage.

Lodge employees are required to wear protective face masks throughout the Lodge. We encourage guests to wear face masks when in the public spaces of the Lodge, but not when enjoying our food & beverage offerings.

At Green when there are some COVID-19 cases in the community, and sporadic imported cases and Orange, where there is increasing community transmission putting pressure on our NZ health system:

  • Record keeping and scanning will be required.
  • Face coverings are encouraged indoors, but are not mandatory.

At Green and Orange, Solitaire Lodge is able to operate with no restrictions in place, but we continue to maintain enhanced hygiene practices. If Lodge staff are sick or have symptoms of COVID, they are advised to stay home.

All guests entering our premises will be asked to follow the below policies:

Provide our team with your digital or printed COVID-19 My Vaccine Pass and check in using the QR Code for contact tracing purposes. This is a New Zealand Government requirement.

Maintain physical distancing requirements while inside the main Lodge restaurant & bar.

Wash or sanitise your hands regularly. Good facilities for people to wash hands and hand sanitizers are provided for regular use.
