Our new ‘Hooked’ package with John Hamill is reeling in fishing enthusiasts eager to explore the deep crystal waters of Lake Tarawera and catch some of the world’s largest rainbow trout.  Guests depart from the lodge’s private jetty and enjoy a revitalising sunrise soak in a natural thermal rock pool, before discovering the art of trolling and jigging. A gourmet breakfast picnic onboard the vessel provides sustenance during a morning of excitement, and when the last cunning wild trout has been caught, learn how to cook your catch in the sands of a local hot water beach, or our Chef will prepare your catch for dinner.
